about
A couple years ago Matt and Robert Latchaw drove from their home in Oskaloosa, Iowa to ours, in Cincinnati, OH and came to a Christmas show that Pomegranates was playing. I greeted them and made generic conversation, not realizing who they were. I thought, "that looks like the Latchaws, but there's no way, they live eight hours from here." Once they confronted me I felt the weight of embarrassment and stupidity and promised them a song to make up for it. Years later, here it is, finally. Sorry it took so long guys.
lyrics
Matthew, Robert: I really feel like a jerk, because I didn't recognize you at first. Your mother and father laid a feast before us. They gave us a place to sleep and made us very comfortable. Jesus has to be proud of you and your family. You drove over five hundred miles from your house to our show in Cincinnati a few Christmases ago. Then you came to Chicago to see us! You and your dad should know better. Then when we got robbed you and your family surprised us by sending us a rare guitar pedal from a really cool pedal/amp maker we met together in Chicago. We can not tell you how much that meant to us. Jesus has to be proud of you and your family. You are really some of the very best people we know.
Thank you.
